Why?
In March 2015 I will be traveling to Uganda with other soccer players from my school to teach girls soccer. I will be paying for this trip myself; therefore, I will be running holiday themed craft workshops throughout the year to fundraise for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

This workshop will include various crafts, games, a snack, story time, and worksheets, as well as three feature segments….

1. Chicken EducationA hands-on learning experience in which children examine the similarities and differences between us and our feathered friends. Our highly certified Backyard Chicken Expert James Johnston will also be assisting us throughout this demonstration.

2. Paint a PotThis artistic component of our workshop allows students to plant a seed of their choice, decorate their own pot, and ultimately draw a picture of what they think their plant will look like when it grows! In this segment, we will also be discussing how to care for plants, as well as playing a Plant Identification game.

3. Puzzle Hunt-The ultimate test of collaboration, team-work, and problem-solving skills” Puzzle Hunt is the newly redefined Easter Egg Hunt that you will NOT want to miss out on. By putting the puzzle pieces together, students will decode the secret message, and work together in order to find the missing Easter Bunny!
